Hello there everyone! Let me introduce myself... My name is Sagar Singh, I passed high school (12th) in 2021 and took a 2-year gap to prepare for an exam (JEE MAIN, ADVANCED), but halfway due to a bad family environment fell into severe anxiety and depression and struggling with it for 1 +1/2 year now, needless to say, that the exam preparation didn't go too well so will not be getting into any prestigious college. But just as I was starting to lose all hope I learned from some folks that If I wanted to make a career in software development college tag does not matter, the only thing that matters is your skill, the college tag does help a little in India(my motherland) but with enough skills, I think I can compensate for it.
So, I thought I won't let this chance slip through my hand and start my coding journey and also document it along the way. I think I want to start by getting to know more about DevOps because Some folks that I look up to are DevOps too and they are like the most amazing people I have seen, so, I want to see if I can be like them.
So If you don't know about DevOps allow me to give you a brief intro: DevOps aka The Developer's favorite Developer, their job is to make sure that the application or website is always running and it does not crash or stop working when deployed for people to use, they also update and maintain the code, essentially what they do is close the gap between IT operations and Software development.
Here's how I am Getting Started,
I am following a roadmap for DevOps(make sure to check it out, it is really great): https://github.com/WeMakeDevs/roadmaps (you get all the roadmaps, all the links to great communities and links to all the job portals to apply when you are skilled ;), for now, I am just focussing on
getting started as you already know I am struggling with depression so my cognitive functions are very sloppy but I try to exercise(Calisthenics) daily so that I get better over time, exercise decreases cortisol and produces Endorphine (The feel-good chemical).
learning GoLang and building some simple projects on it.
blogging to share my experiences.
Participating in communities even if there is very little for me to participate
being open to learning.
